Truro Police Department

	Alarm Registration Form The Truro Police/Fire Department is attempting to update all information on homes in town that are outfitted with burglar and/or fire alarms. Please mail or email the alarm registration form to the Truro Police Department, care of Communications Supervisor Heidi Dyer or Administrative Assistant Jacquelyne Mastrianna so we may update the information. Homeowners without alarms are also welcome to submit the form so caretaker information will be available at the police/fire station.
	Caretaker Form The Truro Police Department urges its part time residents to have a local caretaker. Please mail or email the caretaker form to the Truro Police Department, care of Communications Supervisor Heidi Dyer or Administrative Assistant Jacquelyne Mastrianna so we may update the information. This information will be held at the police and fire station in case of an emergency when homeowners are out of time.
	Citizen Online Complaint Form The Truro Police Department Internal Affairs function is tasked with helping the department maintain high moral and ethical standards, and the overall integrity of the department. All submissions are kept confidential.
	Request For Police Report All requests for copies of written reports shall be in writing to the records officer. A fee of $5 shall accompany said request along with a self addressed stamped envelope. All requests involving family disputes covered under MGL c.209A shall be exempt from the $5 fee. No report shall be released unless approved by the Chief of police or his designee. In the event of criminal charges pending, reports will not be released until the case has been disposed of in court.

Massachusetts law requires that you submit an accident report for any motor vehicle accident that results in injury to any party or property damage in excess of $1000, within 5 days of the accident. Accident reports are available by clicking the link or at any police station. When you fill out the report you should make three copies:

mail the original to the Registry of Motor Vehicles at the address printed on the accident form.
submit one copy to the police department in the city or town that the accident occurred
submit one copy to your insurance company
