File of Life
The File of Life
is a red plastic envelope, approximately 3 inches by 5 inches with a
magnetic strip on the back, in which you place important medical
information, such as; medications, medical history, etc. on a
standardized form. The File of Life is then placed on the front
of your refrigerator door.
This information will
assist responding personnel with previous medical history, medications,
allergies, and other related information.
A completed File of
Life worksheet could save your life or that of a family member.
File of Life forms, holders
and additional information are available at the Truro Public Safety
Facility. |

Limited Number of Gunlocks Available
Project ChildSafe is a new
program developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and funded by a
U.S. Dept. of Justice grant to ensure safe and
responsible firearms ownership. The goal of this Project is to prevent
a loaded gun from being left unattended in a place
where a child may find it.
Millions of gunlocks are being distributed nationwide through
this grant. The Truro Police Department has a limited
quantity. If you are a Truro resident, and need a gunlock, you can
obtain them in person between the hours of 8AM and
2PM weekdays. These locks cannot be installed unless, in most cases, the
weapon is unloaded, thereby adding an extra level of safety.
For more information, contact
Lieutenant John Lundborn
at the Truro Police Department.
